for every feeling
OUR APPROACH
Therapy can be a space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with care—and at a pace that feels right for you.
A welcoming space where your feelings can be heard without judgement.
Care that considers your thoughts, emotions, experiences, and the world around you.
Together, we explore a path that feels aligned with who you are and how you live.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Different psychologists have different styles and approaches. Here is what you can expect when working with me.
THE FIRST SESSION
The first session is typically an intake session, where I gather a significant amount of information about you. Some questions may feel personal or even intrusive. Their purpose is to help me understand you more deeply and get to know you as a whole person. This information informs my clinical understanding and supports the work we will do together.
THE SECOND SESSION
The second session is typically focused on getting to know each other further, understanding what you would like to accomplish, refining your goals, and developing a treatment plan. Together, we will create a game plan to prepare for the work ahead.
ONGOING SESSIONS
From the third session onward, sessions will generally become more treatment-focused, based on the goals and treatment plan we have developed together.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN
Working with children is different from working with adults. Children may not always understand why they are coming to counselling or what to expect from the process.
For this reason, the first three to four sessions may focus primarily on building rapport and developing a trusting relationship—an important foundation for the therapeutic work that follows.
MEET YOUR PSYCHOLOGIST
Psy.D., Registered Psychologist
My journey to becoming a psychologist began after I moved to Canada in the early 2000s. As a first-generation Canadian, I navigated much of my educational and professional journey independently—working multiple jobs while pursuing my education, and receiving meaningful support and encouragement along the way.

When I arrived in Canada, I did not speak English. I began with an English as a Second Language program at Mount Royal University, which came to feel like a second home.
I went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology through Athabasca University, with coursework completed at Mount Royal. Although I originally planned to attend law school, encouragement from a friend led me to a Master’s program in Counselling Psychology at Athabasca University—and toward the work I do today.
I later completed my Doctor of Psychology at California Southern University while continuing to balance work and study.
MY PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY
My professional career began as a Provisional Psychologist with Alberta Health Services at Drumheller Hospital. During my provisional training, I also worked with the Association of Communities Against Abuse, serving Central Alberta.
After becoming fully registered, I joined private practices in Calgary and Drumheller while continuing my work with the Association of Communities Against Abuse, where I continue to work today.
Working across Calgary, Drumheller, Stettler, and Strathmore has given me familiarity with urban and rural lifestyles, along with the differences in resources available across these settings.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Outside of my professional work, I value a balanced and meaningful lifestyle. I hold a yoga teaching certificate and have integrated yoga into therapeutic work with clients. I continue to practise online with my teachers from India for my own health.
I also enjoy gym training, hiking, walking in nature, exploring different cuisines, and spending time with friends and family. Enriching conversations, meaningful relationships—and good sleep—are all important parts of my wellbeing.
ONLINE PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES
STEM Psychology currently offers online psychological services only. Virtual care can provide a meaningful option for people facing distance, mobility, anxiety, self-esteem, or other barriers to attending appointments in person.
